Building on this, we are pleased to announce the inauguration of the Dry Bulk Centre of Excellence (DBCE) by Rightship. The DBCE stands as a model of operational excellence in maritime dry shipping, independent from its founders, and is dedicated to improving standards and methodologies under the guidance of the Dry BMS framework. It was created through the joint efforts of INTERCARGO and Rightship, incorporating valuable insights from across the dry bulk sector. The DBCE aims to reduce operational mishaps, raise benchmarks, and promote the highest industry standards in dry shipping. The Dry BMS framework provides a structured approach to enhancing maritime excellence, with clear benchmarks and directives across four key areas: Performance, Personnel, Vessel Infrastructure, and Operational Procedures. This framework was developed with input from leading ship owners, managers, and maritime risk management experts, benefiting from insights across the maritime supply chain.
